The presence of companies like Doe Run Peru as a result of irresponsible foreign investment puts women and children between a rock and a hard place. Thousands of women depend on Doe Run Peru to feed their children and support their families; however, they cannot afford the health care necessary to treat symptoms of lead poisoning.

No one wants to believe that women are abused and assaulted in their own homes, but they are and we can only work to combat this violence if people are aware of the problem.
While there will be some time before we can see how effective the strategies are, this is a good first step in reducing sexual violence and rape in prisons. As I said before, just because a person has committed a crime, that does not justify cruel treatment in prison and it certainly does not justify the high rates of rape within our prison system.
This collection illustrates PETA’s strategy for getting more people interested in protecting animals and becoming vegetarians, mainly by showing mostly naked women looking like they will sleep with anyone who tosses their leather jacket in the garbage or eats a veggie burger.
First, let me start off by saying that I support animal activism. I love animals and agree with no-kill shelters, and all that. I have even supported PETA in the past, but the past few weeks have really made me look at this organization in a different light.
Society pressures women into thinking that they need to be in a relationship, and then works to give us endless tips and tricks for getting dates, flirting, and for breaking out of our trust, daddy, and commitment issues.
It seems that this idea of open sexual education has spread overseas, and Wedad Lootah, marital counselor from Dubai, UAE, has created quite the controversy by publishing her book, “Top Secret: Sexual Guidance for Married Couples.”
