April was Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), and campus activists across the country hosted and attended events such as Take Back the Night, Denim Day and the Clothes Line Project. I am one of those activists.

Step up your game, Brown. Injustice has reigned supreme on this campus for far too long.
Regardless of what happens with the American University EI scandal, the truth is that it is part of a much bigger story-~-one we can no longer try to distance ourselves from, and one we desperately need to change.
There cannot be equal access to education while the threat of rape hangs over students. Period. That’s why I’m tweeting with #EndRapeNC.
What ensued after we set up a specific photo booth area was pure Internet magic, and altogether the photos show that we all really are what a feminist looks like.
On Monday, the last day of the conference, we young feminists took to The Hill – first for a feminist briefing, and then to meet with our Senators or Representatives (or their staffers) about various issues.
We started by reading and following the Feminist Campus Group Organizing Binder, and now we are more than ready to shout around campus: “my dress in not a yes!”
