On August 24th we will celebrate the anniversary of the FDA approval of Emergency Contraception (EC) for over-the-counter distribution to those 18 and older. The fight continues for women under 18, but in the meantime it is of utmost importance to get the word out about EC on college campuses. It is an invaluable tool, in conjunction with condoms and other routine brith control methods, for preventing unplanned pregnancies. However, the majority of women do not know what EC is or how to use it.

We encourage you to have a Back-to-School EC awareness drive on your campus.
Here are 3 easy things you can do on your campus:

1. Team up with your campus health center or local women's clinic. Have an open house for new students to learn about the services offered.
2. Table in high visibility areas or during the back to school fairs about EC and where to get it.
3. Gather members of your groups together to storm the dorms, the student union, sororities, etc. with fliers on EC and where to get it before you need it.
