On Wednesday September 28, hundreds of pro-choice supporters gathered for the “We’ve Had Enough” rally in the Rotunda of the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg, PA to protest SB 732 or the Health Care Facilities Act, which is a Targeted Regulation of Abortion Provider (TRAP) law.
SB 732 would make abortion care inaccessible to millions of women not only seeking abortion care, but who depend on these clinics for their general health care. The regulations would require freestanding clinics to comply with facility regulations that could force many clinic providers to close their doors because they would not have the funds renovate to meet the requirements of the new regulations.
Eleanor Smeal, President of the Feminist Majority Foundation, spoke at the rally on Wednesday.
