| Description: |
American Sustainable Business Council (ASBC) is
looking for a person to help with website, social
media, blogging, and online advocacy. ASBC is a
growing network of 50+ business associations
across the United States, representing over
150,000 businesses and 300,000 business
executives, owners, investors, and others. These
associations endorse principles of sustainable and
socially responsible business, and they support
the development of strong local Main Street
economies.
The mission of ASBC is to advance public policies
that foster a vibrant, just, and sustainable
economy. We do this in two ways: first, we
research and communicate to businesses, policy
makers, and the media how a sustainable economy
based on broad prosperity is good for business and
good for America. Second, we provide a platform
that enables businesses and business associations
to engage executives, owners, investors,
entrepreneurs, and other business professionals in
the public debate.
The position plays a critical role in maintaining
the systems behind the above-mentioned platform.
The web content specialist role involves creating
and maintaining content (including articles,
images, video, audio, blog posts) and layouts on a
Drupal-based website (asbcouncil.org), creating
and maintaining campaigns on Salsa pages, creating
bulk e-mails, and monitoring system performance
and activity levels. The main requirement for this
position is familiarity with Drupal and Salsa. In
addition, it is helpful, but not required, to have
experience with Salesforce, as well as some basic
graphic design skills. This is primarily a content
management position, not a development position.
This role is part-time, in the range of 15-20
hours per week to start, and may be structured
either as a contractor or an employee position.
Work hours are flexible, though it is preferable
that applicants have some availability during
regular East Coast business hours. ASBC is
located in Washington DC, however the work could
be done remotely.
Resumes and letters should be sent to
webhelp@asbcouncil.org. Please do not apply
unless you have web content management experience
in Drupal or a similar platform, and you are
available for a part-time ongoing role. |
