What We Offer

The Planned Parenthood of Illinois Quality Management Program is dedicated to providing superior health care services in Illinois. In order to better serve our clients, we want to fully understand our strengths and weaknesses in regard to customer service, phone access, medical treatment and client-perceived quality of care.

The Quality Assurance Program Specialist will work with the Director of Risk to develop audit tools, which measures the quality of care, services and information provided during patient visits. The intern will be responsible for researching metrics, creating an audit tool and program policy, and working with agency staff to implement the program. The intern will also revising and refining our existing ?Secret Shopper? and ?Talk to Us Survey? programs that would measure comprehensive customer services and accuracy of information. Additionally, the project includes an analysis of results from our customer service quality program.

Internship highlights:
-Gain experience in the delivery of care in a community health setting -Create and develop comprehensive audit tools and document outcomes -Work with staff through implementation phase of program

What We Ask

-Interest and experience in medical and / or public health fields
-Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
-Willingness to talk to people on the phone or in person.
-Superior analytical, critical thinking and communication skills
-Superior organizational capacities
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-Commitment of about 10 hours per week for the semester
