The National Partnership for Women & Families promotes fairness in the workplace, reproductive health and rights, access to quality affordable health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family. We believe that actions speak louder than words, and for four decades we have fought for every major policy advance that has helped women and families.
The 2013 Spring Social Media Intern will work with all aspects of the National Partnership's issues in conjunction with the Communications department. Activities will include converting press releases, action alerts, and other organizational messages to updates on our social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter. Assignments will also include site analytics, research, writing, assisting with website development, attending internal and external meetings including press events, and responding to requests for information from constituents. The Social Media Intern will acquire a broad background in communications strategy, hone her/his technology skills, and participate in special projects with program staff.
The spring internship is unpaid, may be full-time or part-time, and is appropriate for interested students looking for course credit and a career in Communications.
