The National Partnership for Women & Families promotes fairness in the workplace, reproductive health and rights, access to quality affordable health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family. We believe that actions speak louder than words, and for four decades we have fought for every major policy advance that has helped women and families.

Health policy interns work on challenging projects across the National Partnership's health care agenda, including work on health reform implementation and the Campaign for Better Care. The Campaign for Better Care is working to engage patients and families in improving the delivery of health care to achieve more patient-centered, quality, coordinated care - particularly for the most vulnerable populations, like older adults with multiple chronic conditions.

At the National Partnership, interns are integrally involved in our day-to-day work, and undertake a wide range of activities. Activities will help interns develop skills needed for work in the health policy and advocacy world, including legislative and policy research, analysis, writing for a variety of audiences, and coalition-building. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend exciting briefings, hearings, and other events on Capitol Hill and in other venues around town.

The summer internship is unpaid, but is available for course credit and is full-time. Please note that the Health Policy Internship does not include work on reproductive health and rights.
