Job Title: Training Coordinator
Organization: Service Employees International Union
Region: West Coast
Description: This person reports to the Talent Management Director and is responsible for developing face-to-face and web-based training for leaders and staff of SEIU Local 1000. The Training Coordinator is responsible for the development, delivery and ongoing assessment of our Labor Leadership Institute. The institute is a cutting edge, multi-media program designed to meet the educational needs of our stewards and member leaders.


The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Familiar with computer applications including Microsoft Office, web-based publishing tools, web conferencing and collaboration software
- College degree in instructional development or related field
- Conversant in the role of the union movement and the goals of Local 1000
- Demonstrated understanding of needs assessment and skills tracking
- Advanced project management skills with the ability to lead multiple complex projects
- Instructional design and development experience preferred
