A fun site containing history and trivia about the women's baseball league chronicled in the movie A League of Their Own.

Association of Women Bodyboarders
The Association of Women Bodyboarders is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 to "introduce women to the sport of bodyboarding and to help in the sport's pursuit of excellence, fairness, and safety in competition and recreation." The group has representatives in Australia, Brazil, Chile, Hawaii, Ireland, Japan, Peru, Puerto Rico, Portugal, and the continential United States. The site features great pictures of bodyboarders, information on the sport, competition updates, and much more.

Girl Wrestler on Independent Lens
ITVS and PBS present GIRL WRESTLER and its companion Web site at pbs.org. Texas teenager Tara Neal insists that girls and boys should be able to wrestle on the same mat. Follow Neal through the last year that state guidelines allow her to wrestle boys, amidst family conflict, pressures to cut weight and fierce policy debates over Title IX, which grants women's athletics proportionality in public schools. Women Make Movies presents Girl Wrestler
Screened to critical acclaim at festivals across the United States, Girl Wrestler tells the story of 13-year-old Texas teenager Tara Neal who bucks traditional expectations by insisting that girls and boys should be able to wrestle on the same mat. Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Diane Zander's absorbing documentary follows Tara’s determined journey to the national championships as she battles sexism from both officials and fans, struggles with the strained relationships of a divorced family, and fights with her own body to control her weight. Zander’s film truly captures the nail-biting thrill of competition, while speaking volumes about sexism in sports and the way parents invest their hopes in young athletes.

Women's Flat Track Derby Association
Founded in 2004, the WFTDA promotes and fosters the sport of women's flat track derby by facilitating the development of athletic ability, sportswomanship, and goodwill among member leagues. The governing philosophy is "by the skaters, for the skaters." Women skaters are primary owners, managers, and operators of each member league and of the association. Operational tasks include setting standards for rules, seasons, and safety, and determining guidelines for the national and international athletic competitions of member leagues. All member leagues have a voice in the decision-making process, and agree to comply with the governing body's policies.
