In order
for Spirituality House to be helpful to you
and to others, there are a few guidelines
for respectful participation.
Guidelines for Respectful Participation
Spirituality House is a place where you can go
for important information about religion/spirituality
and abortion, contraception, other sexuality issues.
It is also a site that gives you opportunities
to talk with others on these topics and make a
difference on these issues in your community, at
your college, or at your church or synagogue. In
order for this site to be helpful to you and to
others, we need everyone to follow a few guidelines
for respectful participation.
When posting messages to the bulletin board or
when chatting with others:
Treat others with respect. You can be true
to your beliefs while remembering that those
who believe differently than you are worthy of
respect and dignity. While not silencing your
views, this site will not permit the verbal abuse
of others. There is a big difference between
respectfully challenging the ideas/beliefs of
someone and attacking or harming someone for
their beliefs. Those people who attack others
on this site are not welcome to participate in
our online community.
Remember that we are discussing very sensitive
and divisive issues on this site. Even though
we strive for a safe, caring, and respectful
virtual community, please be careful if you choose
to share any identifying information with others.
Keep your language clean
Users may not knowingly transmit "viruses" or
cause any technological problems that interfere
with the ability of others to access information
on the site.
Remember that this site is of, by and for youth
and young adults ages 16-30. Please refrain from
participating in the chats and bulletin boards
if you are not within this age range. If you
have comments about this policy or otherwise
have something that you would like to share,
please contact the coordinator.
Spirituality House is...
... a student and young-adult oriented, interfaith
and multicultural site of the Religious Coalition
for Reproductive Choice, launched
in partnership with the Feminist
Majority Foundation ...
...we
welcome all pro-choice people to stand
with us for religious liberty and for a
society that does not allow the narrow
religious anti-choice views of the Religious
Wrong to undermine liberty, justice and
choice!
WHAT IS
THE RELIGIOUS COALITION FOR REPRODUCTIVE
CHOICE?
Since 1973, the Religious Coalition
for Reproductive Choice has served as
the voice of pro-choice people of faith
in the U.S. As the only national interfaith
coalition for choice, the Coalition has
a unique role in representing the mainstream
views of people of faith and of countering
religiously-based anti-choice arguments...
