What is Feminism?

A feminist is any person–regardless of gender–who advocates feminism.

Feminism: (n.) the policy, practice, and advocacy of political, economic, and social equality.
Feminist: (adj. or n.) a person who advocates feminism.

The Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF) views feminism as a global movement dedicated to equality and seeks to eliminate discrimination of all kinds–whether based on sex, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, religion, national origin, disability, or marital status. FMF advocates non-violence and works to eliminate social and economic injustice.
