Hello everyone, Lee Carhart here. I am looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible as we gather for our third annual Summer Celebration of Choice. August 26, 2013, as many of you know, also happens to be the anniversary date of women’s suffrage.
This remains all important to women as we realize the goal of the anti-choice movement is to keep women “barefoot and pregnant” and thus deny them access to the workplace, government; as well as the ability advance their educational and social standings.
The fact that we follow the August 25 “I have a dream” celebration of Martin Luther King’s life is also very important. The women of America also have a dream: A dream of equality, a dream of being able to control their own destiny, a dream of making a better life for their future families.
Tens of thousands of women have personally shared this dream with me, and I thank you for helping me to help them.
Get into it and go to Summer of Choice this Sunday in Germantown, Maryland! Find out more in our blog post.
