After Tiller is an official selection documentary for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. It follows the four remaining late-term abortion doctors in the United States.
Dr. Tiller was killed four years ago while attending a church service for being an abortion provider. More specifically, he provided late-term abortions – a rare procedure done to save a woman’s life or in the wake of detected abnormalities in a fetus. Late-term abortion remains one of the most controversial aspects of our ongoing national discourse on reproductive rights.
After Tiller, which will premier September 20 in New York and October 4 in Los Angeles, gives an in-depth look into the lives of the remaining late-term abortion doctors in this country – Dr. LeRoy Carhart, Dr. Warren Hern, Dr. Susan Robinson and Dr. Shelley Sella – as well as their staffs and their patients, creating an emotional, heartwrenching image of how complicated abortion in America is, and why the work these doctors do is important.
