Top 5 Reasons to go to #NYFLC2016: Reason #1

January 28, 2016 by Edwith Theogene Leave a Comment

I am so excited for 2016 National Young Feminist Leadership Conference – it’s a huge gathering of awesome Feminists from all over the country, what more could you want? This will be my 3rd conference, and each year it gets better. Last year I got to meet Kimberlé Crenshaw and Dolores Huerta. The year before, I met Congresswoman Donna Edwards.

My favorite part though – is meeting feminist activists like you who tirelessly work to make their campuses and communities safer, better, and more feminist. At NYFLC I get to have inspiring, one-on-one conversations about all the things that are important to me. You get to meet feminist scholar and activist peers that share your values, are passionate and committed to those values, and are working to build community. NYFLC 2015 gave me new relationships and also strengthened old ones. I’m excited to see all your lovely faces again this year!
